If you don't like pull-down menus and toolbars, you can use Hotkeys and Text Commands.
With Hotkeys you can jump between traverse and inverse commands with the touch of a key.
With Text Commands you can access nearly 60 commands and settings. And if you don't like the default text commands you can freely rename them to whatever you wish.
