Legal-Aid Requirements

Legal-Aid's requirements are modest. If your system will run AutoCAD then it will easily run Legal-Aid.

Recommended System Requirements

• Pentium or faster computer
• 4GB of RAM.
• Windows XP through Windows 11. (Note: Legal-Aid is officially supported only on operating systems that the corresponding version of AutoCAD is supported on.)
• For Legal-Aid for AutoCAD - Must have AutoCAD R14.01 or greater. (including derivatives such as Civil 3D and Land Desktop.
• For Legal-Aid Stand-Alone, AutoCAD is not required as this version works with DXF files.
• For Legal-Aid for ProCogo - Must have ProCogo 2005-V or greater.
• Legal-Aid is not compatible with AutoCAD R14, you must have AutoCAD R14.01
• Legal-Aid is not compatible with non-english versions of AutoCAD
• For non-AutoCAD software such as IntelliCAD or General Cadd, or for AutoCAD OEM based software, you must use the Legal-Aid Stand-Alone Edition which works with DXF files.

Tutorial Requirements

• 1024 x 768 or higher video resolution
• Sound card and speakers
• CD-ROM drive unless you choose to copy the tutorial lesson files to your hard drive
• 64 MB Ram
• Windows 7 or higher.
• Windows Media Player 12 or higher

*Note that neither AutoCAD or ProCogo are required to watch the video tutorials.

Network Restrictions

Legal-Aid is not net-workable and is designed to be installed as a single installation on a single machine. It is however, fully compatible with network versions of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
